This policy explains what personal data WebMax Digital collects through webmaxdigital.io, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It covers this website and enquiries made through it.

Who we are

WebMax Digital is a digital marketing agency based in London, United Kingdom, working with clients in the UK, the UAE, Australia and the United States. For the personal data described in this policy, WebMax Digital is the data controller.

What we collect

• Contact form. Your name, email address, website address (optional) and message. We also record the IP address the submission came from, purely to rate limit abuse.
• Free website audit. The website URL you enter, your full name and your email address. These are used to run the audit and email the report to you.
• Analytics. Pages viewed, referring site, approximate location at country or city level, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics 4.
• Server logs. Our host records IP address, request time and browser user agent for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for special category data such as health, ethnicity or political views, and we do not take payment card details through this website. Please do not send either to us here.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• Replying to your enquiry. Legitimate interests, and taking steps towards a contract at your request.
• Running and emailing your free audit. Consent, given when you submit the form.
• Analytics and improving the site. Consent, where cookies are involved.
• Spam prevention, rate limiting and security. Legitimate interests.
• Accounting and legal records. Legal obligation.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TN93BB5EPQ), which sets first party cookies to tell visitors and sessions apart. We do not run advertising or remarketing cookies on this website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally with analytics blocked.

Who we share it with

• Hosting. Hostinger, which hosts this website and its database.
• Audit tool. Our own audit application, hosted on Railway, which processes the URL, name and email you submit.
• Analytics. Google, as described above.
• Email delivery. The mail service we use to send replies and audit reports.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, mainly in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses, depending on the provider.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and audit requests. Up to 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you become a client.
• Client records. For the length of the engagement, then 6 years, to meet UK accounting and tax requirements.
• Analytics. 14 months in Google Analytics.
• Server logs. Typically 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

This website is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Other websites

This site and our audit reports link to third party websites. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our tools or processes change. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
